Between 1977 and 2017 my paintings were largely a reflection of my career as a lawyer in the construction industry. Based upon sketches and, more often, doodles I did during meetings and conferences (and, yes, even in court!) of abstract geometric designs, sketches of the people I interacted with ranging from abstracted renderings of the many elements that make each face so unique, sketches of the “still life” subject matter sitting in front of me on the conference table and the constant travel both domestically and internationally, I created paintings that reflected my life over those years. Some of the geometrically abstract doodles I did on writing pads, hotel paper, and Post-it notes became the basis of paintings of various unrelated subject matters. The collection reflected in this area of my website are a sampling of paintings spanning those forty years.
